Happy New Year! I am excited for and greatly appreciative of this opportunity to serve as your new president. First, I would like to extend a thank you to Ray and his team at WCF. You’ve set the bar high for a great president, and I am committed to doing my best to reach it.
Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting the many committee members at our AASCIF all committee meeting last month. During the meeting, we challenged each committee to take a careful look into its charter and begin to think of how we can better define the purpose, construction, and value of each committee. As each one reported back to the group, I was thoroughly impressed with the knowledge and passion each committee showed for AASCIF, the industry, and their fellow colleagues. Over the course of the year, our committees will work together to revise and enhance their charters to provide organization members with deeper insight on our purpose. Additionally, these committees are working hard to develop amazing content for our Annual Conference, which delivers valuable and actionable information for all attendees.
As you know, we’ve made some changes this year by partnering with a management firm that can help us elevate AASCIF’s role and presence. They have done a great job, and I know they will continue to do so in the coming year to help us make AASCIF bigger and better than ever. The organization will continue to grow and be a support for our industry with the help of our members and your continued participation and dedication.
Looking at 2017, I am energized to see this renewed excitement about AASCIF. We are working hard with the management firm and all of our committees to create a program for our 2017 Annual Conference in Oklahoma City. We know it will be a great event for all who attend!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of AASCIF. I look forward to a great term as your president and can’t wait to see you in Oklahoma City.Kristin Wall
