THANK YOU!
I would first like to sincerely thank the 26 funds who contributed to the success of last year’s
StatBook, which is now published on the AASCIF web-site. If you have not already used the StatBook, please
see the bottom of this article for access instructions.
What's Next? Improvements
The Audit and Statistics Committee has already
received some feedback from the participating members and we are
planning the following changes:
-
A real-time StatBook. We will
request and obtain your financial data as soon as your annual
financial statements are filed for uploading to the StatBook.
The StatBook will be continuously refreshed on the AASCIF web
site.
-
Additional benchmarking. We will
collect and include other valuable data and statistics to
provide insight into your performance compared to your peers.
-
Your suggestions. Please let us know
of anything you would like to see in the StatBook.
Your assigned Committee member will contact
each fund's Chief Financial Officer and/or StatBook liaison by March
31, 2010, to solicit your valuable feedback on the StatBook and also
determine when your financial data is available for uploading.
Please note that any member can submit data and any changes to the
StatBook at any time to your assigned Committee person or me.
Haven't Joined? Today is the Day!
The StatBook compiles and summarized publicly
available annual statement financial information on each state fund
and:
-
Enables you to benchmark your company with
your peer AASCIF members across a wide variety of financial and
operational measures.
-
Provides a summary exhibit benchmarking
participating members across 10 measures. However, anyone
proficient in the use of spreadsheets can produce a wide variety
of benchmarking measures, ranging from standard industry
measures to the exotic.
-
Generates comparisons including only those
AASCIF members you feel are appropriate peer organizations to
your own.
Once you have completed our simple spreadsheet
template, we will take care of the rest!
