There is still time to register for the 2003 AASCIF and Association of Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada (AWCBC/ACATC) combined conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Aug. 17-21.

Don’t miss your chance to rub elbows with industry leaders and gain expert insights into the latest trends and issues affecting workers’ compensation today.

This year’s conference is shaping up to be one of the best yet. By combining it with the AWCBC/ACATC annual congress, the event promises fantastic new opportunities for networking and professional development.

The conference features stimulating plenary speakers, interactive workshops, display and trade show areas, and an exciting assortment of social events.

Some of the highlights:

• Exciting keynote speakers, including “Man in Motion” Rick Hansen, who wheelchaired around the world from 1985 to 1987 and changed the way the world views people with physical impairments, renowned pollster Dr. Angus Reid, and internationally acclaimed economist David Baxter.

• The debut of a Youth WorkSafe event for young workers age 15 to 24, providing informative and entertaining activities for young delegates.

• A wide variety of social activities, including a gondola ride up Grouse Mountain, a golf tournament and croquet match, a wine tasting event, and a day trip to Whistler—North America’s premier recreational resort.

• Three days of fun activities for guests and children, including trips to the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre, Burnaby Heritage Village, shopping and more.

If you’re looking for last-minute summer vacation ideas, look no further than Vancouver and the surrounding areas of BC. Our conference travel agency can help you and your guests plan the perfect pre- or post-conference getaway—whether you want to explore our untouched wilderness and scenic landscapes, world-class cities, charming villages, or relaxing resorts, there is something for everyone in BC.

The late-surcharge deadline has been pushed back to July 18, so there’s still time to register at a lower rate. However, the block of hotel rooms reserved for conference guests will be released shortly, so register soon!
